Affiliate partner terms

1. The programme

The Postfolio affiliate partner programme pays approved partners a commission on customers they refer. These terms apply alongside the Postfolio Terms of service and Privacy policy. Applying means you agree to them.

Postfolio reviews every application and decides, at its discretion, who to approve. Applying doesn’t guarantee approval, and approval can be withdrawn under section 8.

2. Your offer

Each approved partner receives a written offer by email setting out their commission rate and how long it applies for each referred customer. The offer is part of these terms. Where they differ, the offer applies.

You may ask for a rate when you apply. The rate in your offer is the one that applies.

3. Referrals

A referral is a new Postfolio customer who first signs up through your partner link. Customers who already had a Postfolio account, or who sign up through another partner’s link first, aren’t your referrals.

You can’t refer yourself, your own workspaces or accounts you control, and you can’t bid on Postfolio’s name in paid search ads or present yourself as Postfolio.

4. Commission

Commission is earned on the plan subscription each referred customer pays, after payment processing fees, refunds and that customer’s running costs, and only for months in which they paid. Add-ons aren’t included unless your offer says so.

Commission is never negative: a month in which a customer costs more than they paid earns nothing for that customer.

5. Payouts

Commission is worked out each calendar month and paid the following month. You can see your referrals, this month so far and every payout in Partner HQ inside your Postfolio account.

You’re responsible for any taxes on what you’re paid, and for giving us the details we need to pay you.

6. Your Postfolio account

Approved partners receive a free Postfolio account for their own workspace while they remain a partner, unless their offer says otherwise. Partner HQ opens on the email address you applied with.

7. How you talk about Postfolio

Be accurate and honest. Make clear that you earn a commission where the law or the platform you post on requires it. Don’t make promises about Postfolio’s features, prices or results that we haven’t made.

You may use the Postfolio name and wordmark only to refer people to Postfolio, and only as we provide them.

8. Ending

Either side can end the partnership at any time by email. Commission already earned up to that date is paid in the next payout.

We may end it straight away, and withhold commission that hasn’t been paid, if referrals are fraudulent, self-referred, or obtained in breach of these terms.

9. Changes

We may change these terms or the programme. We’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that reduces your commission. Commission already earned is never reduced.
