Connect terms

1. What Connect is

Connect (connect.getpostfolio.com) introduces brands looking for a social media manager to managers looking for clients. These terms apply alongside the Postfolio Terms of service and Privacy policy. Where they differ on anything to do with Connect, these terms apply. Sending a brief or an application means you agree to them.

Postfolio reviews every brief and application and decides, at its discretion, who to introduce. Sending one doesn’t guarantee a match, an introduction or work.

2. Brands

Connect is free for brands, and no account is needed to send a brief. We never charge a brand for an introduction.

3. Managers

Applying is free and needs a Postfolio account. Accepting a client needs an active Postfolio plan.

When we have a match, you see the brief first, without the brand’s name, along with the intro fee. You can pass on any match at no cost. Nothing is charged unless you accept.

The intro fee is set per match and may vary. It’s charged once, when you accept. When the fee is over $1,000, half is charged when you accept and the rest after your first month working together, using the same card.

Once paid, the brand’s contact details are shared with you and the brand is added to your Postfolio as a Suite.

4. What the fee is for

The intro fee pays for the introduction. It doesn’t guarantee that a working relationship starts, continues or succeeds. Fees are non-refundable unless we agree otherwise in writing at the time of the introduction.

5. Staying within Connect

If you’re introduced to someone through Connect, or see their brief, you agree not to work with them, or arrange to, outside Connect in a way that avoids an intro fee that would otherwise apply.

This applies for 12 months from the date you first saw the match, directly or through anyone acting for you. If it happens, the fee that would have applied becomes payable, and we may remove your access to Connect.

6. What you send us

Everything you send should be accurate and yours to share, including any files. We use it to review it and to find a match. Your contact details aren’t shared with the other side until an introduction is accepted. How we handle your information is set out in the Privacy policy.

7. Confidentiality

Anything you learn about the other side through Connect, including their business, budget, plans and files, is confidential. Use it only to decide whether to work together, and don’t share it with anyone else.

8. Your relationship with each other

Postfolio makes the introduction and isn’t a party to any agreement between a brand and a manager. Work, contracts, payments, deliverables and disputes between you are between you. We aren’t responsible for the quality of anyone’s work, for payments between you, or for how the relationship goes.

9. Declining and removing

We may decline any brief or application, and remove anyone from Connect, at our discretion, including for inaccurate information, spam, abusive behaviour or breaking these terms.

10. Our responsibility

Connect is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses from Connect or any introduction made through it, and our total responsibility to you for Connect is limited to the intro fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits responsibility the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

11. Changes

When these terms change, we update the date at the top. Changes apply to briefs, applications and introductions after the update, not to introductions already accepted. Questions: write to privacy@getpostfolio.com.
